I recently read Nolan Steeles short novelette called The East. It equals about 50 pages of a paperback book. The author is the first to admit that it has some mistakes in it, as he does not want to be a writer. He admits to this in the description of the book. I think that it is a good quick story that has the potential to become an upcoming series, if he can take more time and focus on writing. The story line is strong and pulls you in. The novelette is short but thrilling if you can move past some of the mistakes.
